Currently it would be hard or impossible to search for a security or timeseries using the external ID specs. It would be cool if we can have a feature like search by scheme and ticker.
That is , if i give CUSIP:12012 in the search pane of securities or historical timeseries , it should actually search against the external ID’s rather than the names of the entities. Also if there is colon (":") in the query , search can be executed against names only.
This way we can easily search a document we need.
