Because of the rate that the platform has advanced since the 0.8.0 release, in the end we decided to skip the planned 0.8.1 release and proceed straight to 0.9.0 rather than backport to 0.8.0. There are lots of exciting new features and now some portfolios and views that work out of the box using simulated data, letting those evaluating the system get a much clearer idea of how it works in practice.
The release will be available on Friday 12th August 2011.
Of course, as ever, if you’re really keen and want early access, you can always pull the up-to-the-second current state of the code from GitHub right now.
